We are delighted that our Guest Speaker will be Donald Nuss, M.B; Ch.B; FRCS (C); FACS,
Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics, Eastern Virginia Medical School, Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. Dr. Nuss has pioneered the use of minimally invasive techniques to correct pectus deformities in children and will discuss “Integrating New Technologies into Your Surgical Practice: You Can Teach Old Dogs New Tricks!” His address will be followed by a multi-disciplinary panel discussion centered on the same topic, in which Dr. Nuss and several surgeons from around the state will participate.
The Keynote Speaker for the Virginia Surgical Society will be David B. Hoyt, MD, FACS, Chairman, Department of Surgery; Executive Vice-dean, School of Medicine; and John E. Connolly Professor of Surgery at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Medical Center. Dr. Hoyt has been named the new Executive Director of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
